What is the NEBOSH National General Certificate?

The NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health is a level 3 qualification. It will allow you to apply for Technician membership (TechIOSH) of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).

It will also allow you to apply for Associate membership (AIIRSM) of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM). The course is in 2 parts, NGC1 (Management of Health and Safety) and GC2 (Controlling Workplace Hazards).

Who is the NEBOSH General Certificate for?

The NEBOSH General Certificate is suitable for delegates with health and safety responsibilities, and those wishing to to move along the path to OSHCR consultant registration. No previous health and safety experience is required, although it may be helpful.

How long does the NEBOSH course take?

NGC 1 & GC2 take one week each to complete, plus examinations.
