Your pathway to CMIOSH

1. IOSH

Designed for managers and supervisors from any organisation who are required to manage employees and their work activities. This course will help you ensure that you are in compliance with your Safety Policy and legislation, understanding why it is important.

2. NVQ 3

NVQ Level 3 is ideal for delegates with health and safety responsibilities and those on a pathway to CMIOSH registration. No previous health and safety experience is required, although it may be helpful.

3. NVQ – Diploma Level 6

There are generally three ways to achieve chartered status (CMIOSH), depending on your circumstances, however our recommended route in most cases is completion of NVQ Level 6. Read about the advantages and disadvantages of all three options here.

4. CMIOSH

Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health. Working as a fully registered independent health and safety advisor. The register allows businesses to be certain that registered independent advisors have reached high and professional standards.

NVQ Level 3

For candidates who have some Health and Safety responsibilities. It measures the competence of a person in a work situation and is an ideal way for organisations to demonstrate that they take the Health and Safety of their workforce seriously.
NVQ Level 3

NVQ Level 5

For those who already have a safety role and need to further their knowledge and expertise in the field. It is one of the three common pathways to CMIOSH and the consultants register. You will typically need a NEBOSH General Certificate or similar.
NVQ Level 5

NVQ Level 6

For those looking to further their knowledge and expertise in the health and safety field. This is very similar to Level 5. The main difference between NVQ 5 and NVQ 6 is that they are provided by different accreditors; both of which have been approved by IOSH.
NVQ Level 6
